Semester One 2008

Today I received some of the materials for units I'm taking this semester/Study Period.

In semester one I'm studying PHIL2300: Ethics & the Passions @ the University of Queensland which looks like a promising course.  No materials for that yet as it's an 'on campus' unit.  I'll be starting that one on Wednesday the 27th.

In Study Period one I'm taking PHI350: Philosophy and Cinema @ Macquarie, a unit I had to withdraw from last year due to work commitments.  I really enjoyed this unit and I'm looking forward to completing it this Study Period.

I'm also taking ABT31: Comparative Indigenous Studies @ the University of South Australia.  The unit outline for this unit looks great with an emphasis on Australian, New Zealand, American, and Canadian indigenous populations.  For some reason though my password isn't working on the UniSA website.  Hope this can be sorted out soon.

Finally, I'm also taking REL22: Buddhist Studies Two @ La Trobe University.  This will be my fourth unit under Dr. Peter Friedlander who is a great teacher.  I really enjoyed REL15: Buddhist Studies One last year so I have quite high expectations of this course.  I'm yet to receive the unit materials for this subject so I haven't a clue as to the unit outline.  One thing's for sure, there are quite a few texts that I need to purchase.  Bit annoying really as I had to pay for my tuition fees today.
